Very nicely done, Mandy. Effective use of watercolor while maintaining an appealing, loose feel. Kudos on the unique take on the concept as well - those zombie mermaids are genuinely creepy.
Yes, Yes, there is a haunting feeling captured here. I can almost feel how cold the water must be. The fate of the pirate doesn't feel too hopeful, and not seeing the pirates face, in a subliminal way, seals the fate of the victim. Nice work - your art is always very compelling to me.

Brilliant idea and I'm having a hard time imaging any other medium besides watercolors for this piece. Really love the colors and how they bleed just the right amount. Great pose on the "victim". I feel him sinking for sure. Great flowy shapes with the group of "zomb-aids" too.
If you're like me, you're imagining that's Johnny Depp they're drowning.
