Well, ... This was a late entry for kids at play, but it also is very much what i loved about the 80's and 70's as well. This is dedicated to my brother Jimmy (Cubs hat) and my best pal Darryl Young. Much fun was had in our youths riding our bikes for miles on end to find that missing COMIC !!

Sup Kev. I remember spending many hours in the local book stores pouring over comic books. I find myself still doing it from time to time. Now that I have a little girl, I can warp her mind with mor of the same! This piece really captures how I felt back in the day. Slurpy, tower-o-comics, best bud in tow. Well done. The color lends so much to why it hits home for me. Keep it up!

Awe man, fantASStic Kevin!
The "old school" flavor is present in the treatment of "Comics" and the dot print effect. Great feel, and the ur bro in the Cubs hat is a great design... real charming. Great job, great to see steady contributions... I may need to start doing that one of these days... Awesome!

Sweet! Color!

I really like how everything is larger than life here - the Slurpee and the comics themselves. Love that Slurpee texture!

I did my fare share or ridin' down to the local 7-11 for the latest issue of Wolverine or Punisher. This piece is completely fun.

Looks like pure fun Kevin. Nice details - especially the Wookie shirt. And I do remember the Jawas shirt too - but not until now.

You really helped unlock some deep, stored away memories from long ago.
