I can't stop laughing at the copy of Battlefield Earth in Travolta's hand. Man that's some funny stuff...
Battlefield Earth The Movie sucked rocks. And it's really sad, because it's really a good book. The same thing happened with "Dune", by Frank Herbert, and "Nightfall", by Asimov.
Having really enjoyed the book, and being a Scientologist myself, I went to see the movie all happy and proud, and slowly sank deeper and deeper in my chair, thinking "oh crap." Poor Travolta, I'm sure he meant well. Kinda what happened with Oprah and "Beloved", I guess.
