I didn't really know who Bettie Page was. I knew she was a burlesque dancer and into stripe tease. I thought it would be a challenge so I tried drawing her and after researching pictures, this is what I came up with.Labels: Week 20

What sells this is the ambiguity of the expression on Bettie's face: is she the exploiter or the exploited? Very smooth and sultry image.
There's waaaaaay too many balloons here ;)
What I like most is that you didn't know much about Bettie Page and for this assignment you had to try something new and/or step outside of what you're familiar with. Sometimes those types of challenges are the most fun. Great stuff!
